1st Day at University of the Basque Country

Mein Buddy Inigo holte mich morgens von meinem Hotel ab und zeigte mir den Weg zur Uni. Ich hatte wohl eher Glück, dass mir jemand zugewiesen wurde, da die anderen ERASMUS Studenten erzählten, dass sie trotz Antrag keinen zugeteilt bekommen hatten, bzw. nicht darauf reagiert wurde.

My Buddy picked me up at my hotel and showed me the way to my university. I had luck to get a Buddy, because other students of ERASMUS didn't get someone.

Nach kurzer Anmeldung im Help-Center und einem Sprachtest wurden alle Leute in ihre Gruppen (Anfänger, fortgeschritte Anfänger, Fortgeschrittene) eingeteilt, komischerweise kam ich in den Intermediate-Kurs - obwohl ich eigentlich kaum Spanisch kann. Die zwei Spanisch-Kurse an der Volkshochschule haben wohl doch etwas gebracht :) Endlich sah ich auch die anderen Leute, mit denen ich die nächste Zeit verbringen werde. Viele sind aus Deutschland, Italien aber auch Marokko, Frankreich, Kanada und USA. Das Gebäude der Fakultät ist an sich nicht besonders schön. Ansonsten ist hier WLAN vorhanden, wo man sich als Gast oder über eduroam (Education Roaming) einloggen kann.

After a short registration at the Help-Centre I did the language test. All students were selected in groups (Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced). Couriously they put me in the intermediate course.

Finally I saw the other guys, with which I will share the following time. The building of the faculty of engineering is not really special. Wifi is available, you can connect as a guest or with your eduroam account.

Nachmittags zeigte mir Inigo noch die wichtigsten Punkte der Stadt, darüber gibts aber einen eigenen Post :) 

In the afternoon Inigo showed me all important points of Bilbao, more of that I'm gonna show you later :)
